LE RAYON BLEU (THE BLUE RAY)

Not without evoking Jules Verne or Éric Rohmer and their green ray, The Blue Ray is a pictorial study born at dawn, captured day after day between 4 and 8 in the morning. Armed with a camera, I seize that fleeting moment when night unravels—a chromatic murmur as the world tilts from nocturnal blue into the hues of daybreak.

The result is a series of six film-paintings : moving skies projected onto raw, unprimed canvases, where light replaces pigment.
